Since 1992 David Muhammad as a student of Minister Louis Farrakhan, has been a powerful and dynamic spokesman for education, liberation and Black empowerment. He continues today teaching, motivating and inspiring the thousands who hear him on the radio, those who come to see and hear him lecture in person and those who read his books. Muhammad has lectured in over 40 primary and secondary schools in Trinidad & Tobago, and has also lectured in London, England, New York, Miami, Chicago, St. Vincent, St. Croix and St, Thomas.

400 Black Men attended the first N.O.I. Men Only Meeting in Laventille, April 9th. Over 220 came out for at the Naparima Bowl on April 30th, close to 200 came to the Sangre Grande Civic Centre on May 28th. Both Laventille Hill and Deigo Martin Men's Meetings attracted over 100 brothers. This series inspired by the Honourable Louis Farrakhan is leading up to the tenth anniversary of the Million Man March in October 16th, 2005 in Washington, D.C. The next Men Only Meeting is scheduled for Tobago in July!

NATION OF ISLAM TRINIDAD GIVES LIFE SUPPORT

TO HUNDREDS OF BLACK MEN

On a day when the city of Port of Spain, Trinidad experienced a multi-million dollar fire, which destroyed many businesses, black men created a second cloud of blackness when they turned up by the hundreds packing the Laventille Technology Centre, for the Nation of Islam’s first ever “MEN ONLY MEETING” in Trinidad. Throughout the day there were news bulletins over the media advising the public to stay away from the city because of the apparently uncontrollable fire that blazed for 18 hours, but this did not stop a determined force of inspired men, many of whom where loyal listeners to Minister David’s “THE BLACK AGENDA”  night time radio talk shows aired four times weekly on Trinidad’s Power 102FM.

The audience ranged from toddlers to great grand fathers, all with an inward hunger to satiate that deep desire for knowledge and change. With Trinidad being in the throes of a crime and drug spree and black men murdering each other at the rapid rate of one a day, this personal message to black men was one that was long overdue.  In approximately two (2) hours Min. David Muhammad was able to administer the necessary medication to our brothers by sharing the teachings of the most Honourable Elijah Muhammad & the Honourable Louis Farrakhan. Dealing with such topics as Poverty, Homelessness, Crimes, Drug Addiction, HIV/AIDS, Family, Relationships, Politics and Law Brother David suggested solutions from the teachings of the Nation of Islam and got the men present to pledge to be peace-makers, respecters of women, and care-takers of our communities children.

As a result, black men stood up in their numbers to join the magnificent army & force of the Fruit of Islam (FOI) led by the Honourable Louis Farrakhan. The Trinidad N.O.I. Men Only Meetings will be continuing at a pace of at least two each month leading up to the Million Man March. UP YE MIGHTY NATION! Accept Your Own and Be Yourself.
